Action 69 Update - 15.0 - The Bountiful Update


Introduction

Hey everyone! Welcome to a new Action 69 Update. Sometimes I have some spare time to work on my older projects, so here is an update that does just that! 


Additions

  • Added new Level Six!
  • Added new Monkey trapped in cage - Set 5 of them free!
  • Added new falling barrels hazard in Level Six!
  • Added a new barrel texture.
  • Added new fade out death effect.
  • Added new fade effect when entering a level.
  • Added Q-Crates display to Perks menu. (Access by pressing S).
  • Added barrier blocks to the end of Level 3 so you don't go flying off.

Updates/Changes

  • Updated the Slope Hill texture.
  • Updated the Perks menu.
  • Updated level layouts to align better with our game design.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where the game crashes on the Options Menu, before starting Level One.
  • Fixed a bug where the position of Questionable Crate found on Level Five was incorrect.
  • Fixed a bug where triggering both pressure plates did not tick the objective in Level Five.
  • Fixed a bug caused by an incorrect calculation of coins across levels.
  • Fixed a few instances of data corruption.
  • Fixed a bug where the sign did not exist at the end of Level 5.
  • Fixed a bug where Level 5 did not keep track of Locked/Unlocked status.

Optimisations

  • Removed unnecessary and unneeded art assets from the project file to reduce file size.

Conclusion

That's a wrap for this update. The next update will feature a new Level 7 called 'Trapped!'. 

Which will feature the player escaping from a locked prison. Will also include some changes to the Power-Up system. 

The Future

I'm not exactly sure when the next update will be ready, or the project's future - that's because I'm currently working on a different game called Ninkyo Dantai and getting that ready for a Steam release.
